Tips in Choosing High-End Luxury Dog Beds

Choosing the right dog bed is one of the memorable things in being a pet owner. Your furry friend is a part of your family and you need to show them just how much you love and appreciate them by getting them the ultimate experience in comfort for their sleep and rest. A good dog bed doesn’t have to be expensive, but if you are looking for the best features you need to factor in a good budget.

Why Choose a Dog Bed?

Most pet owners don’t even own dog beds. They simply allow their pets to sleep on the sofa or in a reserved rug somewhere. Though this might feel like it’s the dog’s preference, it is actually because the dog doesn’t know any better, and in some instances the owner too.

When it comes to luxury dog beds, you are looking at adding just a few dollars to what most beds would cost. If you’re quick to search for dog beds sale, however, that will help save a few bucks.

Dog beds are a great way to let your dog feel welcome in your house. Long gone are the days when dogs would stay out in their kennels and rarely step inside the house. Furthermore, dog beds help to keep fur from your favorite spots, and you can easily collect and clean dirt from pet beds rather than from all other surfaces in your house. Alright, now that you know you need a dog bed, you can now consider the following factors when choosing your dog bed.

Know your Dog’s Size

Your pet’s size should be the first pointer to getting the right fit for its bed. A small bed will make your pet uncomfortable and it will simply resort back to your bed or sofa. From a medical viewpoint, a small bed will cause bone problems for your dog as it needs space to move and grow. Hip problems in dogs occur when they have little space to maneuver and you can only do this if you provide enough space in the dog bed. The first step is to measure your dog from the nose to its tail. Then measure its shoulder from one end to the other. Add about 6 to 12 inches and this will give you an ideal size for its bed.

Also consider your dog’s breed, because breeds age and grow differently. Some breeds, remain small, whereas others grow to about 10 times the size within a year. You don’t want to be buying a new bed every year simply because the dog grows too big every few weeks.

Dog Bed Designs

The bed design affects the overall comfort. Comfort for pets is much more than just the aesthetics. The bed could be curved, rectangular, hooded, or even mesh, but what matters most is the materials used on the beddings. Whether it is plush or mesh, the fabric material will matter. All, in all, get a dog bed that will accommodate your dog’s size, shape, and behaviors, and so long as your dog likes it, then you can be rest assured it is comfortable for it.
